Ordering:

Orders may be placed using our secure on-line ordering page [click on Order now] or by mail, phone, or fax. (Click here for information about our Privacy Policy.)

When placing your order by mail, phone, or fax, we will need the following information:

Instructor's Manuals:

Computer Literacy Press publishes books designed primarily for classroom use. Teacher's require supplementary information to make their teaching easier and more productive. We encourage our authors to provide that information in books variously titled, Instructor's Manual, Instructor's Guide, Teacher's Resource Manual, etc. They include material such as teaching tips and hints, lesson guides, resource lists, solutions to problems and activities, and disks or CD-ROMs with data files. These manuals are always supplementary and are NOT usable by themselves.

To keep the costs of our textbooks as low as possible, and because Instructor's Manuals are produced at relatively high cost, we do not provide free Instructor's Manuals. See our price list for pricing.

Examination Copies:

We are pleased to send free examination copies to teachers and trainers within the United States when the objective is to select a textbook or training manual for purchase. Sampling is very expensive, and to control costs we do put some restrictions on samples:

Requests for examination copies should be made in writing on school stationery (fax to: 513/530-0110). We mail examination copies only to school addresses. Instructor's Manuals will be sampled only in response to a generally announced textbook adoption or review by a school district, college, or university. Sampling will be restricted to each product's intended grade range.

Photocopying and Copyright:

We understand that many school districts and educational institutions operate under tight budgets. However, we would like to remind educators that beyond the limited "fair use" provisions of the copyright law, photocopying of CLP books and supplementary materials is unlawful without prior written permission from the publisher. We provide examination copies to teachers as a courtesy to help make purchasing decisions. Photocopying of examination copies to avoid purchasing them is unlawful, and it denies the authors and publisher the opportunity to recover the costs of writing, developing, printing, and sampling the materials.
