Hands-On Series

The Hands-On Series debuted in 1981with Hands-On AppleWorks. With nearly 260,000 copies of the book adopted, it became the leading teaching package for classes on word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. As new software and new versions appeared, the authors have revised the material five times, always with the same goals: (1) to give students detailed, software-specific guidance at the computer; (2) to provide a familiar textbook format, with learning goals, glossaries of new terms, reading material, projects, and review questions; and (3) to support the teacher with example student files, a detailed teacher's guide, and reproduction masters for worksheets and overheads.
