Word Processing Applications: A Visual Approach provides a unique visual approach to learning! This series of activities provides students with a way to apply their software skills to realistic business applications. With these activities, students take their software skills beyond rote memorization of functions and combine them with critical thinking and decision-making skills—just as they would in the workforce.

Word Processing Applications: A Visual Approach offers up to 60 hours of instruction to help your students master word processing skills. This text contains 54 independent word processing activities and a 10-hour capstone project. Activities cover a wide range of documents including single and multiple-page letters and memos, e-mails, faxes, envelopes and mailing labels, reports, resumes, budgets, marketing and sales reports, expense reports, invoices and purchase orders, basic financial statements, brochures, newsletters, Web site, and Internet/intranet text documents. Fundamental concepts of speech recognition technology are introduced and practiced throughout the 50 activities in the text.
